Automatic PowerCommand® load switches communicate directly with the generator set control system to enable even more reliable system-wide communication.
Automatic PowerCommand load switches are equipped with microprocessor-based control technology for smooth and reliable operation. The switching mechanism can withstand thousands of switching cycles thanks to its robust design and high contact force. They are used in mains-generator set, mains-mains, and generator set-generator set scenarios, among others. Plug connections, door-mounted controls, ample space, and compatible connection markings simplify access and maintenance.
The GTEC series of switches combines reliability and flexibility in a compact, efficient form. GTEC load switches are powered by powerful, efficient AC solenoids. Once the power supply has been properly disconnected, you can operate the switch using a removable handle. Field configuration for open or programmed transition provides users with a choice of options for synchronization verification and backup. GTEC switches also feature practice and test modes and can be operated manually after being properly disconnected from their power sources.
- Microprocessor control
Standard, fully functional microprocessor control offers ease of use thanks to front-mounted display console for all settings and adjustments - Field-configurable operating modes
Open transition circuit (adjustable to 0-10 seconds) with synchronization check and backup of programmed transition circuit, transition and test mode - Manual operating handle (standard)
Allows manual switching to the desired one of three positions (Source 1, Off, Source 2) after proper disconnection from power sources - Maintenance and access
Door-mounted controls, ample space, and compatible connection markings simplify maintenance and access - Construction
Available with complete enclosures for indoor (IP32) or outdoor (IP54) use, as well as in kit form - Advanced load switching mechanism
Authentic load switching mechanism with changeover function with interruption - Mechanical interlock
Integrated into the design of GTEC switches to prevent connections between sources via the power contacts - Magnetically operated switching mechanism
Powerful and economical operation: switch position is maintained even without a continuous power supply - Continuous current carrying capacity
Can be used in applications up to their respective rated power - Main contacts
Durable silver alloy contacts with high contact force for thousands of switching cycles without burn, pitting, or welding damage offer 100% continuous current carrying capacity - Standards and certifications
Compliant with IEC EN60947-6-1:1999 standard for load switching
