Dieselengine
Water-cooled diesel engine from CUMMINS, designed and engineered for tough industrial use. Equipped with a radiator front cooler for ambient temperatures up to 50°C with a pressure fan wheel, it is driven by a belt and pulley. Fitted with all protective devices to prevent accidental contact with rotating parts. The electrical components installed on the diesel engine, such as the battery, starter motor, and alternator for charging the battery, are designed for a voltage of 12/24 volts.
From the C 275 D5 series onwards, the electrical system is designed for 24 volts. The electrical components are already included as standard in the basic configuration. Up to the C 66 D5 series, speed control is provided by a mechanical speed governor as standard (optional electronic speed governor); from the C 90 D5 series onwards, electronic speed governors or fully electronic injection systems are installed as standard.
The engine filter system for the required operating fluids consists of a dry air filter for the combustion air, a fuel filter with water separator for the required fuel, and a lubricating oil filter for the engine oil. For more information, please refer to the relevant data sheets for the individual generator sets. Coolant preheating and a battery charger are already included in the standard scope of delivery.
Generator
Brushless, self-excited single-winding synchronous generator in temperature and insulation class H with fully connected damper windings, IC01 cooling system, and epoxy resin-coated stator windings, rotor and exciter windings impregnated for use in harsh climatic conditions, permanently lubricated, maintenance-free bearings. Windings 2/3 skewed for better values in terms of parallel capability and harmonic harmonics. A 4-pole generator circuit breaker is included in the standard scope of delivery.
Exhaust system
The generator is equipped with an industrial-grade silencer (approx. 9 dB) as standard. High-performance silencers are available as an option.
Structure
The complete motor-generator set with radiator front cooler is mounted on a base frame made of folded steel profiles. The motor and generator are firmly connected to each other via an SAE flange, so that even during prolonged operation of the unit, no misalignment errors can occur due to torsional forces. The base frame also contains a fuel tank with a corresponding capacity.
Control
A control system corresponding to the respective power class (PS0500, PCC1.1, PCC1.2, PCC 1301, PCC2100, PCC2.2, or alternatively PCC 3201, PCC3.3) is installed on the generator set. However, all installed control systems include a remote start contact in their basic configuration for operation in conjunction with an ATS emergency power transfer switch.
Voltage
The generators are supplied as standard with a voltage of 400/230V, a frequency of 50 Hz (1,500 rpm), and a power factor of cos phi 0.8. Other voltages are available as options.
International quality and manufacturing standards
CUMMINS diesel generators are subject to and manufactured in accordance with the following standards and norms: BS 4999/5000 PT99, VDE 0530, UTE5100, NEMA MG1-22, CEMA, IEC 34, CSA A22.2, AS 1359, BSS 5514, DIN-ISO 3046, and ISO 8528. All units for the European market are CE certified.
Reference conditions
Ambient temperature 27°C, altitude above sea level 150m, 60% relative humidity. The figures relating to consumption and sound levels are approximate values and are based on 75% of the average variable continuous power (PRP).

Quality standards
Our power generators comply with the following standards: VDE 0530, BGVA3 (formerly VBG 4), DIN 6280, ISO 8528, BS 4999, BS 5000, and IEC 34.
Warranty
12 months or 2,000 operating hours, starting from notification of readiness for shipment.
